This week the weather is more good than bad because this week is always cloudy and sunny than rainy. I conserved energy in many simple ways.
In School:
* Proper waste disposal
* Collecting of plastic bottles
* Turning off the lights when the sun is bright
* Using of correction instead of slashing the sheet of paper
In our Home:
* Using of glass when brushing my teeth
* Using of my money wisely
* I usually walk when going nearby places.
*? Practicing 3R's

Insights and Reflection about the Typhoon Signals
- Today I learned the different typhoon signals:
Typhoon Signal No. 1
A tropical cyclone will affect the locality. Classes are suspended for pre-school and primary levels.Winds of 30-60 kph may be expected in at least 36 hours or intermittent rains may be expected within 36 hours. (When the tropical cyclone develops very close to the locality
a shorter lead time of the occurrence of the winds will be specified in the warning bulletin.)
Typhoon Signal No.2 -
A disturbance is approaching. Stay
indoors. Classes are suspended for pre-school, primary and elementary. Winds of
60 - 100 kph. may be expected within 24 hours.
Typhoon Signal No. 3
A disturbances is dangerous to
locality. Everybody is advised to stay home. Classes in all levels are
automatically suspended. Winds of 100 kph. to 185 kph. maybe expected within 18
hours.
Typhoon Signal No. 4
Very strong winds of more than 185 kph. maybe expected within 12 hours.
- I will apply my learnings and insights in sharing information about this in my everyday life to become aware if what will be gonna do when there is typhoon signal in our place.
- Learning about this are important because if we do not know what are the effects of this how can we able to prepare ourselves in such situations like this.
- On a larger scale, I will share my learnings on this to help others be aware and for them to be prepared on the things that might happen when there is typhoon signal.
- I need to know more about typhoon signal because I want to know more information about this phenomenon for me to be easier to share to others what I had learned.

Insights and Reflection about Tropical Cyclone
•Today I learned that the tropical cyclone a storm system characterized by a low-pressure center and numerous thunderstorms that produce strong winds and heavy rain. Tropical cyclones strengthen when water evaporated from the ocean is released as the saturated air rises, resulting in condensation of water vapor contained in the moist air. They are fueled by a different heat mechanism than other cyclonic windstorms such as nor'easters, European windstorms, and polar lows. The characteristic that separates tropical cyclones from other cyclonic systems is that at any height in the atmosphere, the center of a tropical cyclone will be warmer than its surroundings; a phenomenon called "warm core" storm systems.

Insights and Reflection about Low Pressure Area (LPA)
•Today I learned that the Low-Pressure Area, low or depression, is a region where the atmospheric pressure at sea level is lower than that of surrounding locations. Low-pressure systems form under areas of wind divergence which occur in upper levels of the troposphere. The formation process of a low-pressure area is known as cyclogenesis. Within the field of atmospheric dynamics, areas of wind divergence aloft occur in two areas. The first area is on the east side of upper troughs which form half of a Rossby wave within the Westerlies (a trough with large wavelength which extends through the troposphere). A second area of wind divergence aloft occurs ahead of embedded shortwave troughs which are of smaller wavelength. Diverging winds aloft ahead of these troughs cause atmospheric lift within the troposphere below, which lowers surface pressures as upward motion partially counteracts the force of gravity.
• I will apply my learnings and insights in sharing information about this phenomenon in my everyday life to become aware if what will happen when there is a Low-pressure area.

This week is very cloudy week even though we have two typhoons "IGME and JULIAN". I conserved energy in many simple ways.
In school:
1. I use liquid paper instead of slashing the sheet of paper when I was wrong in writing on my notebook. To save many trees.
2. Turning off the lights when the sun is very bright.
3. I always participate in my group when we have a school work to save time and to become good our work.
In our home:
1. Using of abaniko fan instead of electric fan when it is hot.
2. Using of glass when brushing my teeth.
3. I’m using my money properly and wisely.
4. I usually walk when going to nearby places.
5. Practicing 3R's.

Insights and Reflection about El Ñino and La Ñina
- Today I learned that the El Niño phenomenon is an abnormal weather pattern caused by the warming of the Pacific Ocean. It is characterized by extreme climatic changes - world-warming along South America, torrential rains in North America, extreme temperature rise and drought in Southeast Asia and Australia. El Niño occurs every two to seven years. While La Niña phenomenon is usually described as a cooler than average sea surface temperature of the Pacific Ocean. It phenomenon is known to occur every few years in this area and beyond, and it is known to last anywhere from a few months to as long as two years or so.
- I will apply my learnings and insights in sharing information about this phenomenon in my everyday life, for me to become aware.
- Learning about this phenomenon are important because if we do not know what are the effects of this phenomena how can we able to prepare ourselves in such situations like this.

Insights and Reflection about Tropical Depression
- Today I learned that the Tropical Depression is a group of thunderstorms has come together under the right atmospheric conditions for a long enough time, they may organize into a tropical depression. Winds near the center are constantly between 20 and 34 knots (23 - 39 mph).
A tropical depression is designated when the first appearance of a lowered pressure and organized circulation in the center of the thunderstorm complex occurs. A surface pressure chart will reveal at least one closed isobar to reflect this lowering.
- I will apply my learnings and insights in sharing information about the tropical depression in my everyday life.
- Learnings about this phenomenon are important because we can be aware of what weather we will have and what we must do when there’s a tropical depression.
- On a larger scale, I will share my learnings in this phenomenon to help other be aware of the weather we will experience and also for their safety.
- I need to know more about tropical depression because I want to know more information about this phenomenon for me to be easier to share to others what I had learned.

Insights and Reflection about Monsoon
- Today I learned that the Monsoon is a geographical phenomenon caused by cyclic air movements changing with the time of year. And I also learned that monsoon is derived from the word "mausim" which means season.
- I will apply my learnings and insights in sharing information about monsoon in my daily life.
- Learnings about this phenomenon is important because if you don't know anything about them when a monsoon happens you will not know what to do.
- On a larger scale, i will share my learnings in this phenomenon because it can help us be aware on what will the weather be and the measures to be taken when there's a monsoon.
- I need to know more about monsoon because I want to know more information about this phenomenon for me to be easier to share to others what I had learned.

Insights and Reflection about ITCZ (Intertropical Convergence Zone)
- Today I learned that the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), known by sailors as the doldrums, is the area encircling the earth near the equator where winds originating in the northern and southern hemispheres come together.
- I will apply my learnings and insights in sharing informations about ITCZ and having knowledge about its relationship on our weather.
- Learnings about this phenomenon is important because we can know the possible cause of a rainy or dry weather in a certain place.
- On a larger scale, I will share my learnings in this phenomenon because it can help us be aware of weather we’re going to have and the things we should do when there’s a nearby ITCZ.
- I want to know more about how big is the effect of ITCZ on our weather.
